Effective IT is an annual rolling programme organised by Information Age, the UK's leading magazine for senior executives interested in securing business advantage through the effective application of IT.

Effective IT identifies, publicises and celebrates best practice in IT. It involves suppliers, analysts and journalists, but most importantly, a huge group of senior IT-in-business professionals who work in organisations, public and private, large and small, across the UK. Through a programme of research, live events, web and print publications, Information Age discovers, debates with and rewards those organisations that are using IT to best effect.

The 2007 programme began in October 2006 and runs through to June 2007 with the Effective IT 2007 Summer Spectacular & Awards. This special night rewarded excellence in IT implementation as well as raises money for charity.
